- Start with a piece of 8" x 8" DSP.
- Using a diagonal scoring tool, score at 2 3/4" and turn around and score again at 2 3/4".
- Make a 1/4 turn and score diagonally through the center of the DSP.
- Score 1 1/8" on both sides of the center score line.
- Crease all score lines.
- Fold in both sides at the 2 3/4" score lines.
- Make a "v" with the bottom score lines.
- Punch a hole through the top and tie with a piece of ribbon.
- Add embellishments on both sides. (I put butterflies on this holder.)

A Simple Holder
Above is a simple holder I made for a recent hostess gift. The holder can hold many things. I added the note cards below, but I have seen people put candy in it. It is also a great holder for hot chocolate and mini marshmallows! Below are the directions.
