A Simple Holder

Above is a simple holder  I made for a recent hostess gift.  The holder can hold many things.  I added the note cards below, but I have seen people put candy in it.  It is also a great holder for hot chocolate and mini marshmallows!  Below are the directions.

  1. Start with a piece of 8" x 8" DSP.
  2. Using a diagonal scoring tool, score at 2 3/4" and turn around and score again at 2 3/4".
  3. Make a 1/4 turn and score diagonally through the center of the DSP.
  4. Score 1 1/8" on both sides of the center score line.
  5. Crease all score lines.
  6. Fold in both sides at the 2 3/4" score lines.
  7. Make a "v" with the bottom score lines.
  8. Punch a hole through the top and tie with a piece of ribbon.
  9. Add embellishments on both sides.  (I put butterflies on this holder.)
